Charles, un francés de Toulouse, vende su videocámara. Ignacio, un director de cine argentino de visita en Francia, la compra. Al revisarla, descubre que los videos de Charles no han sido borrados y vislumbra en ellos el germen de una gran película de aventuras.
A partir de entonces, entablan una relación epistolar en la que Charles, quizá sin darse cuenta, va escribiendo las palabras que darán sentido a las imágenes. Así, surge una historia sobre el amor, los viajes sin destino final, los conflictos bélicos lejanos, la soledad y la compañía de quienes más queremos.

Charles, a Frenchman from Toulouse, sells his camcorder. Ignacio, an Argentine film director visiting France, buys this camera. Upon opening it, he discovers that Charles’s videos have not been erased and he sees in them a potential worldwide adventure film. They begin an epistolary relationship in which Charles, perhaps without even realizing it, writes the words of the film behind the footage. This is a film about romantic relationships, neverending travels, distant armed conflicts, loneliness, and the company of our loved ones.

Edgar y David descubren una escultura durante una excavación arqueológica.
Se trata del Shapshico, una figura mitológica que habita en la selva amazónica. Fascinado por el hallazgo, Edgar se obsesiona con el objeto y decide emprender un viaje para encontrarlo. Poco después, desaparece casi sin dejar rastro.
Mientras tanto, en Buenos Aires, María —la hija de Edgar—, junto con David y sus amigos, intenta poner en funcionamiento un antiguo sistema de comunicación mapuche basado en el movimiento de los árboles.

Edgar and David discover a sculpture during an archaeological excavation.
It depicts the Shapshico, a mythological figure said to inhabit the Amazon rainforest. Fascinated by the finding, Edgar becomes obsessed with the object and decides to embark on a journey to find it. Soon after, he disappears almost without a trace.
Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires, María —Edgar’s daughter—, together with David and her friends, tries to activate an ancient Mapuche communication system based on the movement of trees.
